TICO Film Company was founded in 2005 by father and daughter Gino and Sarah Pennacchi and in collaboration with film producers Claudio and Federico Saraceni. After very rewarding careers in finance, Gino and Sarah Pennacchi decided to take their knowledge of business and love of film to create a synthesis. We believe that today the synergy of Cinema/Finance is an important key to the production of audio-visual projects, with ambitions for world-wide release. TICO focuses on development of film and television projects and production of documentaries (and mockumentaries), which have an international profile and are intended for wide release. With 30 years of international investment banking experience, Gino has also shot several anthropological documentaries in Africa. Gino is the co-founder of TICO film with his daughter Sarah. He oversees the creative development of TICO's film projects and is the heart and soul of TICO.
Sarah Pennacchi
Co-Chairman, producer and Head of Development
Born in 78. Co-founder of Tico Film with her father Gino. Graduated in Modern History at Rome’s University “La Sapienza”. 4 years of international finances in Milan and London. Sarah is involved in the company’s management, in fund raising, in the development of films and documentaries, and in the creation of an international network. Sarah is currently based in London. Diploma of RAINDANCE Procuction UK 2005 / EAVE Film Finance Forum, Luxembourg 2008 /Think 2.0. creating and winning Multiplatform commissions (DV Talent – Skillset fund UK) 2010. Marion Nani
Head of Marketing and communication
Born in 74. Graduated in languages. Marion is French but has lived several years in London before moving to Rome. In her various mansions, Marion has gained various experiences in Marketing and SEO techniques. Today, she working closely with Gino and Sarah Pennacchi to promote Tico Film’s works.
Federico Saraceni
Corporate Finance and Producer
Born in 1976, Federico studied Economics and Finance. From 2001, after many years of experience working on film sets, Federico began working on the administrative/financial side of film production.
Giuseppe Gagliardi
Director and Screen-play writer
Writer and director of short films, documentaries and music videos. He has won many awards for his short film Pepperoni in Italy and abroad, one of which was the Sacher d’Argento at Italian film director Nanni Moretti’s Sacher Film Festival. In 2003 he won the Premio della Giuria (Jury Prize) at the Torino Film Festival for the musical documentary Doichlanda. His latest and first feature length film, The True Legend of Tony Vilar is a mockumentary, which premiered at the first annual Rome International Film Festival, and has been selected to make it’s US premier at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival in May.
Matteo Pennacchi
Born in 1971, Matteo earned his Masters in Communications from IICP School in Paris. He has worked for the United Nations in Kenya and in advertising in Milan. A traveler and a journalist, he is currently working as a Free-Lance consultant in tourism, with international organisations and public institutions. |
